Smart Chain (BNB)

What is Smart Chain?

Here are five key points about the Smart Chain (BNB) network:

Smart Chain is an EVM-compatible blockchain, meaning developers can deploy smart contracts and decentralised applications (dApps) using the same tools and languages as Ethereum.

It offers high throughput and fast confirmations, supporting a wide range of DeFi protocols and dApps.

Binance Coin (BNB) is the native token, used for paying fees, governance, and staking.

Smart Chain supports staking and yield farming, letting users earn rewards by providing liquidity or delegating tokens.

Compared to Ethereum mainnet, transaction fees are typically much lower, making it more cost-effective for users.

Smart Chain on Wraith Wallet

Wraith Wallet provides full support for BNB and BEP20 tokens. You can:

Buy BNB directly with a card.

Store BNB and BEP20 tokens securely.

Send and receive BNB and BEP20 tokens.

Swap BNB to BEP20 tokens or cross-chain to other assets.

Stake BNB to earn rewards.

Connect to Smart Chain dApps via WalletConnect.

BEP20 tokens on Smart Chain

BEP20 is the token standard on Smart Chain, fully compatible with ERC20.

Transactions are fast and cheap compared to Ethereum.

BEP20 tokens can be added in Wraith Wallet under Manage token list with the Smart Chain filter.

Receiving BNB and BEP20 tokens

Tap Receive in Wraith Wallet to view your Smart Chain address.

The same address is used for both BNB and all BEP20 tokens.

Example: Adding USDT-BEP20 will show the same address as your BNB account.

Sending BNB and BEP20 tokens

Tap Send in Wraith Wallet.

Enter the recipient’s address or scan their QR code.

Input the amount.

Ensure you have BNB to cover gas fees.

Adjust network fees if needed, then confirm.

Transaction fees on Smart Chain

Gas fees are paid in BNB.

Fees are lower and more predictable than Ethereum’s mainnet.

You can check live gas fees at Smart Chain Gas Tracker.

Checking balances

Tap the three dots in Wraith Wallet and select View address on BscScan.

BscScan is the default explorer for Smart Chain.

Key points for using BNB on Wraith Wallet

No limits on receiving BNB or BEP20 tokens.

Share your Smart Chain address with senders (double-check for accuracy).

Receiving is free; senders pay gas fees.

Sending, swapping, and staking all require gas in BNB.

Always verify the recipient address before confirming.

Why use Wraith Wallet for Smart Chain?

User-friendly: Manage BNB and BEP20 tokens easily.

Secure: Full self-custody, encrypted private keys, and biometric protection.

Future-ready: Regular updates keep Wraith Wallet optimised for DeFi and dApps on Smart Chain.

Conclusion Smart Chain (BNB) is a fast, scalable, and low-cost blockchain. With Wraith Wallet, you can send, receive, stake, and swap BNB or BEP20 tokens while connecting to the wider DeFi ecosystem securely and easily.
