How to send Tether (USDT-TRC20) with Wraith Wallet

This guide walks you through sending Tether (USDT) on the TRON (TRC20) network using the Wraith Wallet app.

Things to check before sending

USDT-TRC20 enabled: Make sure you’ve added a TRC20 version of USDT in Wraith Wallet

Correct network: Confirm that the recipient’s wallet supports USDT-TRC20

Correct address: Always double-check the recipient’s address. QR codes help avoid typing mistakes

TRX balance: Keep some TRON (about 40 - 50 TRX) in your wallet to cover network fees

Step-by-step: sending USDT-TRC20

1. Open Wraith Wallet

Launch the app on your device, tap on your USDT-TRC20 wallet, then select Send.

2. Enter recipient details

Paste or scan the recipient’s TRC20 address

Enter the amount of USDT you wish to send

3. Review fees and confirm

Tap Continue. Wraith Wallet will calculate the TRON network fee. If you have enough TRX, you’ll be able to proceed.

4. Handle insufficient TRX error (if shown)

If you see “Insufficient TRON (TRX) balance” you’ll need to fund your wallet with TRX before retrying:

Buy TRX: Tap Buy in Wraith Wallet, select TRX, and purchase with your preferred method

Receive TRX: Tap Receive to get your TRX address and transfer TRX from another wallet or exchange

Once the TRX arrives, retry the send.

5. Confirm the transaction

Check all details one last time

Tap Confirm to broadcast the transfer

The transaction will be processed within seconds thanks to TRON’s high speed.

6. Verify completion

You can track the status inside Wraith Wallet or by entering the transaction ID into Tronscan. Confirm with the recipient that the funds have arrived.
