How to send Tether (USDT-ERC20) with Wraith Wallet
This guide explains how to send Tether (USDT) on the Ethereum (ERC20) network using Wraith Wallet.
Things to check before sending
USDT-ERC20 enabled: Make sure you’ve added a USDT-ERC20 wallet in Wraith Wallet
Correct network: Confirm the recipient’s wallet supports USDT-ERC20
Correct address: Always double-check the recipient’s wallet address. Scanning a QR code is safest
ETH balance: Keep some ETH (around 0.01 - 0.02 ETH) in your wallet to cover network fees
Step-by-step: sending USDT-ERC20
1. Open Wraith Wallet
Launch the app, tap on your USDT-ERC20 wallet, then select Send.
2. Enter recipient details
Paste or scan the recipient’s ERC20 address
Enter the amount of USDT you want to transfer
3. Review fees and confirm
Tap Continue. Wraith Wallet will calculate the ETH fee needed for the transaction. If you have enough ETH, you’ll be able to proceed.
4. Handle insufficient ETH error (if shown)
If you see “Insufficient ETH balance” you’ll need to add ETH before retrying:
Buy ETH: Tap Buy in Wraith Wallet, select Ethereum (ETH), and purchase with your chosen payment method
Receive ETH: Tap Receive to display your ETH wallet address and transfer ETH from another wallet or exchange
Once ETH arrives, retry the send.
5. Confirm the transaction
Double-check the address and USDT amount
Tap Confirm to broadcast the transfer
Ethereum transactions usually take a few minutes depending on network congestion.
6. Verify completion
You can track the transaction in Wraith Wallet or by entering the transaction ID into Etherscan. Confirm with the recipient that the USDT has been received.
You’ve successfully sent Tether (USDT-ERC20) with Wraith Wallet.
