How to get a Tether (USDT) address in Wraith Wallet
Tether (USDT) is a widely used stablecoin that operates across several blockchain networks such as TRC-20 (Tron), ERC-20 (Ethereum), and TON. When adding or receiving USDT in Wraith Wallet, it is essential to select the correct network type. Using the wrong address format can lead to lost funds. This guide explains how to generate a USDT address in Wraith Wallet and choose the right network.
Steps to get a USDT addressβ
1. Open Wraith Walletβ
Launch the Wraith Wallet app on your mobile device. If you do not yet have Wraith Wallet, follow the setup guide to create a new wallet.
2. Navigate to Assetsβ
If USDT is not already added, tap Manage Token List and search for βUSDTβ. Wraith Wallet supports a wide range of USDT types.
3. Select the USDT networkβ
When adding USDT, you will be asked to choose a blockchain network. Common options include:
TRC-20 (Tron): Low-cost, fast transactions, widely used on exchanges.
ERC-20 (Ethereum): Popular for DeFi and Ethereum-based apps, though gas fees are higher.
TON (The Open Network): A newer option with high speed and scalability.
Choose the network that matches where your USDT will be sent from, or how you plan to use it.
4. Generate and copy the addressβ
Tap Receive to display your USDT address and QR code. You can copy the address or share the QR code directly with the sender.
5. Verify before sharingβ
Always double-check that the selected network matches the senderβs platform. Sending USDT to the wrong network (for example, sending ERC-20 USDT to a TRC-20 address) can result in irreversible loss of funds.
