How to register Wraith Wallet with a Basename

Basename is the new naming service for the Base blockchain, replacing the older Base Name Service (BNS). With a Basename, you can register a personalised .base.eth domain that maps directly to your wallet address.

Step 1 - Connect wallet to the Basename site

Go to the Basename website.

Tap Connect and search for Wraith Wallet.

Follow the prompts on your device to open Wraith Wallet.

Approve the connection request.

Your Wraith Wallet address will now show in the top-right corner of the site.

Step 2 - Search for a name

Enter the name you’d like to register in the Basename search bar.

Available options will be displayed. Tap on your preferred choice.

If you had a BNS name previously, you can mint a Basename for free.

The registration page will show the required amount of Base ETH needed to secure the name.

Step 3 - Purchase the name

Tap Register name.

Wraith Wallet will prompt you to approve the transaction.

Tap Confirm and wait for the blockchain to process the registration.

Congratulations - your .base.eth name has been registered. Your connected wallet address will now be displayed as your Basename.

✅ A Basename makes sending and receiving funds with Wraith Wallet much simpler by replacing long Base addresses with a clear, human-readable name.
